Welcome to 2018- Things to Keep in Mind for the New Year

January 1, 2018

2018 is here! As we begin the New Year with new hopes and dreams of achieving our goals, we all should also keep an eye on self-care, and meditation to keep us in check for the upcoming New Years. Many of us when making a New Year’s resolution tend to keep it for two weeks to a month, and for the rest of the year you’re priorities get mixed in worth responsibilities and other things that just takes over.  His case a few things in mind when making your New Year’s resolution.

1.    Plan:  One of the most important says in that I have come across in my lifetime is “If you don’t plan for yourself then others will plan for you.” Life has an amazing twist and turns. A plan can help lay some format or an idea that you would want to get started on what you want to do. It lays a foundation that

can lead to many roads to your success.  Let’s say if the plan goes south never be afraid to reevaluate the plans or start from scratch again. There is absolutely no shame in starting over again to find out what works best for you.

2.    Educate Yourself:  You probably heard this a thousand times but the more you hear it the better sticks.  Educating yourself is the wire that connects everything together. It helps

with the planning and all aspect of your road to success. The best part is you can learn anytime, anyplace and anywhere. From school, the internet, from others, and many more. Learning is vital and you’ll never be too old for.  The more knowledge you gain, the better you become in your craft, business as well as yourself.

3.    Mindfulness:  Now the correct definition of mindfulness would be the basic human ability to be fully present aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Being fully

present in everything you do is a challenge especially when life is getting in the way it’s always ok to take a step back for a minute and take a breather. Go on vacation, meditate, and take a break to rest so you can start the grind again.

4.    Love Yourself and Put Love into everything You Do Whole Hearted:  Loving yourself and doing what’s best for you in the new year. Always make time for yourself and always put yourself first.  If there is something in your life that you feel that something/someone hinders your road to success or your path to happiness, then the best thing to do is too cut that string off.

By cutting that string, you will cut the negative energy that you are getting from that individual and cutting the power they have over you. Once the connection is cut, you will begin to heal and grow.  One of the biggest lessons you can bring into the new year is “If someone/something is not helping you grow, then the best thing you should do is let it go.
